Everyone’s invited to join our village vibe and celebrate the fabulous Noosa Food & Wine Festival, in true local style. This month’s Noosa Junction Twilight Market is all about FLAVA with sensational street food and happy hour prices all night courtesy of our locally run, FLAVA bar. With $8 cocktails, $5 beer, wine and bubbles it won’t hurt your hip pocket – proceeds go straight back into the event and funding local musos on our Twilight Stage.
In addition to all our fabulous food and artisan stalls, we’re excited to announce our Kid’s Cake Decorating Competition where we might discover the next Adriano Zumbo, or Anna Polyviou! It’s the chance for our kids to show off their skills and be judged by the Junction's own queen of patisserie, Fiona from Fiona’s Fancies Noosa. Entry is free but places are limited to the first 30 kids who enrol on the night. We will have a colouring competition too for those who miss out. Entrants will be supplied all they need to decorate, and Fiona will be there to inspire and lend a hand and to judge the final winner. And the prize – a high tea for four creative kids at Fiona’s Fancies.
On the Saturday night 18 May we have our first Street Eats & Beats where we’re celebrating Noosa Food & Wine – Junction style! On the menu in our unique laneway location, Mixologist crew, Mr Drifter, are bringing their spice game with their signature Hawker rolls; authentic Japanese Izakaya Restaurant, Sushi Yah-man, will be dishing up flavours of Japan with handmade sushi rolls and Karaage Chicken; and for lovers of all things Mexican, Paradise Arcade are serving up tacos with a twist.
Craft beers from local and independent breweries, fresh, next-gen wines and cool cocktails will be enjoyed to the smooth sounds of classic reggae rhythms, grooves and jams from the Sun Salute line up. In keeping with the Junction’s love of street art - we’re truly stoked to be able to present the immensely talented street muralist, David Houghton, in action – he’ll be creating another amazing lane of art on the night. Our latest #boring wall is thanks to our friends at Ironlak, East 9th Brewing, Land & Sea and Noosa Junction Association.
